I created this scrapbook layout using a 12X12 paper from my Blue Fern stash. This “Loved” Chipboard piece is from one of their collections also. The photo is of my beloved Savannah, Maya who is the sweetest companion. I added texture to the page with a Honeycomb stamp from My Daily Bread, Art Anthology dimensional paint and prima stencil, Tattered Mist spray for drips. The photo is matted over some homemade paper strips and painted over w/Rose Gold paint by Finnabair.
September 21, 2016
It was a very busy summer and I wasn’t able to do as much crafting. Trying to get back to some basics and supplies in my stash. I created this mixed media card, using Strathmore printing paper. I applied Hero Arts Ombre inks using a brayer. Used background stamps, My Daily Bread Honeycombs and Carabelle Studios Hexagons and splattered with Heidi Swap black spray. Took out one of my older wooden flower stamps from Hero Arts and colored using Copic markers in the violet range. Since this flower didn’t come with a stem, I used one from the Paper Artsy Eclectica collection by Lin Brown. I chose the sentiment from this set as well (ELB25).
Happy fall everyone,
In order to remember summer 2016, I created this scrapbook layout using a picture from my front yard. Early in the season we have seen flocks of Cedar Waxwings in my crabapple trees. This photo seemed to fit with their inspirational color palette for the month.
The paper is from the Ombre Dreams collection and called Ginger’s Dream. The flowers are from Hobby Lobby and I used some washi tape from Tim Holtz.
Last day of the month, and I’m finally on vacation. Trying to post some of my June projects. Here is one for the Blue Fern June sketch challenge. I love their papers, both the designs and the quality. The photo is one from my garden. The paper and chipboard is from Blue Fern. I added some embellishments from my stash overflow. I edged the paper with Antique Photo distress ink.
Happy Monday everyone,
I can’t believe we are getting close to the end of May already. This is my first attempt at making a project for the Blue Fern Studios. I love their papers, they are beautiful and high quality. Do well withstanding some mixed media product. I have been able to buy Blue Fern at a couple IL scrap stores, but such a shame that Stamp, Scrap n’ More didn’t renew their lease. I was able to get more papers at the going out of business sale.
This page was completed with Blue Fern paper and chipboard purchased at the Paper Forest in Washington, IL. It’s a lovely store. Other products used were Prima Stencils and Art Anthology dimensional gel paint. The flowers are from Petaloo. I added the tim Holtz bird and sentiment rub-ons.
It’s been a while since I posted anything. I was off earlier this summer and returned to work full time at my day job. Catching up with a few projects I played with in July and August.
These dragonfly cards were made primarily with Tim Holtz products. The dragonfly is a die and embossing set by Sizzix. I cut these out on Coordinations paper. The yellow and red backgrounds were made with Tim’s stencils and Unicorn white Ink, embossed with clear detail by Judikins. I went over those with distress inks (mustard/yellow and festive berries/red). I adhered to card from Papercuts. The blue background was made using the bookah stamp by Ellen Hutson. I stamped with Unicorn Ink from Hero Arts and went over with several of the blue distress inks. I added Stickles to the dragonflies for some sparkle.
I made this card with a patriotic theme using the Art Impression stamp, Bathing Beauty Set 4589. I fussy cut them and adhered to Glitz paper using foam squares. I thought the ladies were perfect for a fashionable day at the beach on 4th of July using my Copic markers to achieve color. Trying to use up some things in my stash, I found the sentiment sticker and lighthouse.
